I am delighted to preside over the organisation of what promises to be one of the most exciting conferences in the history of Eurobanking.  We have a conference program which in its breadth and depth covers an extraordinary range of issues confronting European banks in the 21st century.  It is located in the fastest growing economy in Europe.  The venue is a town where tradition meets technology head on.  I will be very pleased to give you the traditional Irish welcome of Céad Míle Fáilte (translation – ‘one hundred thousand welcomes’) to you in Ennis.
